Finnish Photo Awards – Silver for Risto Raunio

Risto Raunio won silver in the Wildlife series of the Finnish Photo Awards 2024 photo competition. The final evaluation of the competition took place this year at the beginning of October in Tampere, where Rauni's photo "Rolling Over" won second place in the Wildlife category. The level of the series was extremely tough this year, as a total of four pictures scored more than 90 points. In the Landscape series, Rauni's picture, "Snow Petrel and Iceberg" took fifth place.

Finnish photo competition

The Finnish Photo Awards is a national photography competition aimed at recognizing and awarding the best photographs in various genres. It not only showcases the finest Finnish photography but also serves as a pathway to the Finnish national team and the World Photographic Cup, where the world’s best photographers compete. The international competition will be held in spring 2025 in Quito, Ecuador.
