Recently, he realized he had photographed nearly all penguin species! At first, this was neither a goal nor even a dream, but somehow, it happened.

Finnish Photo Awards – Silver for Risto Raunio
Risto Raunio won silver in the Wildlife category of the Finnish Photo Awards 2024 photography competition. The final judging took place in early October in Tampere, where Raunio’s image "Rolling Over" secured second place in the Wildlife category. The competition was exceptionally fierce this year, with four images scoring over 90 points. In the Landscape category, Raunio’s photograph "Snow Petrel and Iceberg" achieved fifth place.
